Outshine the competition

The National Training Awards 2012 are now OPEN for entries.

The National Training Awards (NTAs) are run in association with Investors in People. During 2011, the National Apprenticeship Service assumed the responsibility for the NTAs and continue to run the Apprenticeship Awards with the overall aim of improving standards and quality across the skills sector.

If you were unable to attend a Seminar, download the seminar presentation. It will show you the process for preparing an entry and gives you hints and tips on what the Judges are looking for.

Shining Examples

At Paul, training is part of our culture and our people know they have the opportunity to develop and progress internally. Our training provided a clear set of career paths offering everyone the chance to progress at their own pace. As a result a drop of 28% was seen in staff turnover. By winning a National Training Award we know that our training is something to be proud of.

At Morrisons supermarkets we have a real dedication and commitment to vocational training and we've been rewarded well for our efforts by being multiple NTA winners. We were recently given a National Training Award for our apprenticeship scheme which we set up to fill a gap in qualified food craft workers. Over 900 skilled butchers and bakers have gone through the programme, giving us a real competitive advantage by having the best trained staff. By winning these Awards, we know our training is something that our people can be proud of. We've discovered that it's not just Morrisons that benefits from award winning training - our community benefits too
