Ambassadors - North West
Record Info session numbers: Record North West entries?
With the last of the North West 2010 info sessions on the 30th March, we notched up a record total attendance of 121 over the eight sessions across the Region. Many thanks to all of you who encouraged attendance at these sessions and helped organisations and individuals take that first step to entry.
It was good to renew old acquaintances and to meet many who were looking at entering the Awards for the first time. Hopefully, once they have a successful entry under their belts, they will realise the real benefits that entering and winning brings and become serial entrants. Certainly, listening to accounts of what is clearly effective training, there should be no shortage of quality entries for many years to come.

Blackpool Builds Up its Own
People
When the Blackpool Build Up regeneration project began, it wasn't just the physical landscape of the town that was set to change. Blackpool's long term unemployed and unskilled people were about to experience lasting life changes too.
Thanks to an innovative partnership between Blackpool Borough Council, Blackpool and The Fylde College and local and national construction companies, the towns track record of high unemployment was about to come to an end.
