Ambassadors - Northern Ireland

The countdown has begun!

With the closing date just 2 weeks away, there's not a lot of time left for drafting and redrafting entries and hitting that word count!

Peter Hodgett and the team at DELNI have been working hard to encourage people to turn their stories into entries. Please continue to help and support anyone who you know is either putting together an entry or indeed is sitting on the fence, to take courage and have a go.

There are excellent stories out there and we heard about a whole range of possible entries during the information seminars. It never ceases to amaze me that such a small geographical region can produce so many stories of effective learning. We just have to help people to focus and provide real evidence that the learning has delivered improved performance. So when you are talking to potential entrants and listening to their stories, keep asking them the 'so what' question. They don't always like it, but it eventually gets them to the essence of their story! Organisations often get caught up in the delivery process and happy sheets and lose sight of what they were trying to improve in the first place.

NTA UK Award Winner, Partnership and Collaboration; The Bytes Project and Tides Training
Partnership Approach to Conflict Resolution

Realising that staff working at the ‘coal face’ were having to deal with conflict on a daily basis, Bytes Project decided that there was an urgent need for tailored conflict resolution training. The charity worked with partner, Tides Training, to develop and deliver a programme that would help staff deal with the difficulties and issues they faced when dealing with clients.

Bytes is a voluntary sector, charity organisation committed to assisting disadvantaged and homeless young people to realise their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Its aim is to empower and equip them to make positive changes in their lives, gain accredited qualifications and re-engage with learning and/or work.
