Ambassadors - Yorkshire and the Humber

Isabelle Greenwood
Ambassador Co-ordinator
Yorkshire and Humber

I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new regional co-ordinator for Yorkshire and the Humber area. My name is Isabelle Greenwood and I've been involved with UK Skills and the National Training Awards for over seven years as both an Assessor of the Awards and as a Consultant where some of you may have met me around the region when I've been delivering NTA information sessions.

I am a self employed Business and Life Coach and an Investors in People Specialist so my business is all about improving performance of organisations and people which is why I am passionate about the National Training Awards.

Of course, winning and celebrating success is fantastic but even before that can happen just the process of putting together an entry can really be developmental as it emphasises the need to plan well, set out what is expected and take stock review and evaluate the impact on performance.

The entries for 2010 are now being judged with panels sitting and visiting entrants across our region now until the end of July. I'd just like to say thank you to all those of you who are involved in this busy but exciting time.

The Regional Ceremony will be held on Tuesday 28th September in Leeds, very definitely a date for your diary. It would be a pleasure to see you there, and I'll have more information about tickets nearer the time. We still have regional ceremony sponsorship available. Please get in touch with the Awards office should you wish to get involved.

I'll also be in touch with all Ambassadors very soon about a meeting for us all in September. It will be good to have a get together so that we can plan for raising entry numbers next year. I would also like to know about any regional events/conferences which NTA can be promoted at.

Looking forward to the months ahead I'm really hoping to meet as many of you face to face as I can, I'll certainly be making contact by telephone.
