Every Little Helps

We have now kicked off the information sessions for 2010, many thanks to those who have helped to get colleagues and peers to attend.

Some recent discussions with potential Ambassadors highlighted a concern about not being able to do enough to help promote the Awards. While there are a wide range of activities that our Ambassadors can contribute, there is no expectation that every Ambassador has the time to do them all.

But it's also the case that leaving things to others to do sometimes results in nothing happening! So, to quote that well known supermarket slogan 'Every little helps'. I really need your assistance to make sure that in 2010 we have winners in each of the NTA categories.

Regional Award Winner Black Horse Personal Finance
Underperforming Banking Department Reaps Training Benefits

When Black Horse Personal Finance carried out an extensive restructure of its Call Reception department, staff morale hit an all time low. However, thanks to a specially created training programme, things have turned around and this previously underperforming department can now hold its head up high.

Launched in 2000, Black Horse is the consumer brand of the Lloyds Banking Group Asset Finance division. It operates a network of personal finance centres across the UK and employs approximately 2,000 members of staff. The Cardiff based Call Reception department is made up of 54 employees reporting into five Team Managers and a Senior Manager. The role of the department is to handle customers responding to direct mailing activity with advisors working together to maximise income opportunities and deliver excellent customer service.
